1. Agreement
These terms apply when you download or use Fridgie: Bill Tracker (“Fridgie”, “the app”), made by Christian Tania, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
2. Your licence to use Fridgie
Fridgie is licensed to you, not sold. Your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). If these terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA applies. You may use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s usage rules.
3. The free version and Fridgie Pro
- Fridgie is free to download. The free version puts up to 6 bills on a single-door fridge, keeps the last 3 months of receipts and includes the Due soon widget.
- Fridgie Pro upgrades your kitchen to a side-by-side fridge with room for up to 20 bills, and adds every receipt, the other widgets, kitchen themes, calendar styles, Face ID lock and app icons. It’s optional and comes three ways:
- Pro Yearly: an auto-renewing yearly subscription. The first year is charged when you confirm the purchase.
- Pro Monthly: an auto-renewing monthly subscription. The first month is charged when you confirm the purchase.
- Lifetime: a one-time in-app purchase. It never renews or charges you again.
- Pro Yearly and Pro Monthly renew automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in the app’s Settings or in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Prices are shown in the App Store and in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- If Pro ends, your bills and their payments stay in the app. The fridge goes back to the single door with your first 6 bills; the rest are kept, hidden, until Pro is back.
- Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. You can restore Pro on your devices with the same Apple Account using Restore purchases in the app’s Settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. What Fridgie does, and doesn’t do
Fridgie helps you keep track of bills you enter yourself. It is an organiser, not a payment or financial service:
- It doesn’t connect to your bank, cards or billers, and it can’t pay, schedule or cancel anything. Marking a bill paid, including the automatic marking for bills you set to autopay, only records it in the app; it doesn’t mean the biller received a payment.
- Amounts, due dates, totals, estimates and receipts are worked out from what you enter. Estimates for bills that change each time are averages of past amounts. They may differ from what you actually owe, for example because of new charges, taxes, fees, late fees or exchange rates. Always check your actual bill.
- Totals that include more than one currency are converted into your main currency using daily reference exchange rates, and are approximate (marked ≈).
- Nothing in the app is financial advice.
5. Your content
The bills, payments, notes and other details you add are yours. They are stored only on your device; we don’t receive a copy (see the Privacy Policy). Because of that, you’re responsible for keeping your own backups, for example with iCloud Backup. If you delete the app or lose your device without a backup, we can’t recover your data. Please don’t enter full card or account numbers, security codes or passwords.
6. Acceptable use
Please don’t copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except as the law allows, or use it in a way that breaks the law or the App Store rules.
7. Updates and availability
We may update Fridgie to add, change or remove features, fix problems or keep up with iOS. Some updates may be needed to keep using the app. We aim to keep Fridgie available, but we can’t promise it will always be offered in the App Store or work with every future iOS version.
8. No warranty
Fridgie is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that reminders will always be delivered, since delivery depends on your device’s settings, such as Focus modes and notification permissions. Fridgie can’t guarantee that you avoid a missed payment, a late fee or a disconnection.
9. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for late fees, penalties, interest, disconnections or charges from any biller, arising from your use of the app. Where liability can’t be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.
10. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms, as set out in the Apple EULA.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This doesn’t take away any protection you have under the laws of the country where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
